I decided to take a drive over to a local Main Street (actually called Broad Street, in Bloomfield NJ), to see how it was doing.  Here&#8217;s what I saw:<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom1.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>A nice old card store, calling it quits.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom2.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Chinese food and bankruptcy appear to be doing well.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom3.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Looks like Maria is hanging up the tape measure.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom4.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Prayers for downtown.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom5.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>How much is that doggie in the window . . .<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom6.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Bill, Mike and Ariel still have their parking spots.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom7.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Lots of space available.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom8.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Protecting our way of life.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jimgworld.com\/beta\/bloom9.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>And everything looks worse in black and white . . . or does it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve all heard that phrase kicked about over the past six months, regarding the effect that the financial crisis and economic recession has had on the vast majority of people.
